Dr Barry Edwards

Barry is the clinical lead for the PCN. His role is to lead on clinical governance, education and supervision for the PCN service and support the achievement of clinical and non-clinical performance measures in conjunction with the PCN leadership and management team and PCN workforce. Barry’s responsibilities include remaining up to date with contractual requirements and guidance, ensuring the delivery of safe and effective services that are sustainable and responsive to the changing needs of the local population and facilitating stake holder engagement to negotiate, influence and develop effective partnerships to support the transformation for clinical pathways. Barry attended medical school in Birmingham and became a GP partner at Madeley Practice in 2001. In his own time, Barry enjoys watching his son play rugby, walking the dogs and spending time with his family. He is also a fan of Star Wars.
